Golf

Think of your wife, when it comes to golf. If sheís glued to the TV screen when the Masters are on, then golfing at you honeymoon destination can be a great way to bond and experience courses that are vastly different and possibly more scenic than the ones youíre used to back in Pennsylvania. But if the missus balks at the mere mention of a nine iron, you may want to consider skipping this sport entirely on your honeymoon. For future vacations as husband and wife, you may discover that you can sometimes go your separate ways and have a blast, but your honeymoon is all about togetherness. If your bride is up for it, why not purchase lessons? This can connect you more locals and ease you into moving around a little bit after an afternoon of sunbathing.

Horseback riding

Horseback riding is something most people have done a lot, or not at all. And you and your wife likely fall into the latter category. For some grooms, the horse may be an intimidating form of transportation and not necessarily his idea of a thrilling afternoon. But guys, letís face it: most women love horses. It must be in their genetic code. If you really want to explore the island or the countryside from a different point-of-view and put a smile on your brideís face, why not make arrangements to take a trail ride through the rainforest, along the beach, or take a castle tour on horseback. Sometimes horseback riding is even an option as part of a honeymoon package, which can be a great way to get a deal.

Learn to Surf, Learn to Sail, Learn something on your honeymoon

If you're at the beach anyway you may as well burn some calories and come back as a "surfer" or sailor. Many beach destinations also offer the chance to learn how to surf or sail, and as beginning surfer, you don't need humongous waves. You and your wife will have a fantastic time frolicking in the waves. And if it's not surfing or sailing, there are plenty of other sea activities that both you and your bride can enjoy together.

Adventure - bungee jumping and other craziness

For the couple who doesnít blink when their airplane dips suddenly in a storm, a real adventure on their honeymoon may be just the ticket. Bungee jumping, deep sea and shark diving, hiking, surfing, skydiving, and parasailing are just some of the adventure sports the risk-taking newlyweds can explore. Make sure your trip health insurance covers adventure sports and isnít voided if you or your bride gets hurt doing it. Let's hope not.

Lupina Villalpando-Stewart - I remember Christian as a litlte girl with a wonderful smile who loved horses! I also remember her as a member of a family where the presence of the Holy Spirit was evident and I felt blessed. There is a Christian book called The Lasting Promise Do you have it? That has been one of the best ways to learn to talk as a couple in the good times and the bad times.Friendship in Christ has been the strongest element of success in our marriage.Love you!
