honeymoon sports ideas [Page 1 of 2]

You and your bride are the type of couple that “climbs every mountain” and “fords every stream”; you aren’t content to laze around on a beach chair all day, and you don’t want those world-class dining pounds to accumulate during the course of your honeymoon stay. So grab a racket, pack your trendiest active wear, and explore the sporty options at your chosen honeymoon destination. Just go easy, Tiger.

The Name of the Game

The name of the game when it comes to honeymoon sports activities is not to go overboard. You may be on a honeymoon in Monterrey, California, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you’re there to play Pebble Beach, leaving your wife at the spa for the day. When it comes to sports and your honeymoon, take it easy. It’s all about fun, and not working on the five iron. You may even want to ditch the clubs and play a sport that’s unfamiliar to both you and your wife. Like snorkeling.

Tennis is a very social game. Tennis courts – whether private, public, or available at your resort, are ubiquitous and generally accessible with some advanced planning. Couples tennis is also a great way to meet and bond with other couples. Consider scheduling lessons for you and your bride if you and the missus are still learning.

Scuba diving and snorkeling

If your honeymoon destination is tropical, you can’t pass up the opportunity to discover the world underwater during your stay. Get in contact with a local and reputable diving company that will take care of equipment and guidance, and get into gear. If diving is too overwhelming, (certain dives require advance certification) a groom and bride can safely snorkel and still get to see the reefs, fish and other wonders of the deep blue. No skill, other than an ability to swim, is required.

Lupina Villalpando-Stewart - I remember Christian as a litlte girl with a wonderful smile who loved horses! I also remember her as a member of a family where the presence of the Holy Spirit was evident and I felt blessed. There is a Christian book called The Lasting Promise Do you have it? That has been one of the best ways to learn to talk as a couple in the good times and the bad times.Friendship in Christ has been the strongest element of success in our marriage.Love you!
