help your bride get fit [Page 2 of 3]

Make the Trip, Together

If you are both committed to getting fit for the wedding day, it will be much easier to stay motivated and have a good time if you do so together. A regular workout becomes a great "date" that you can have with your fiancée. If you are both starting from the same physical shape, then it truly is a great opportunity to see what you can accomplish together. You're a team in life, so start early and create a lifestyle change for both of you. Less Doritos, more delts.

Hot Chick Tip:    Doing healthy activities together is a great way to motivate your bride and yourself.   Plus, it burns off a lot of pre-wedding stress!   Go on a Sunday morning hike and then out for a healthy brunch, take a power yoga class together, or take a nighttime stroll for an ice-cream cone and enjoy every moment of being engaged.

Beefcake

Keep in mind that the goal of getting fit is to "get fit" and not "get huge", and in her case, not to be so thin that she ends up looking like Skeletor in a wedding dress. You should think about activities that you can do together that don't necessarily involve 45 pound plates and his and her matching dumbbells. Your bride isn't going to be motivated to work out with you, nor will she get the results she's after, if you stay inside the weightlifting box. Find your local running shop and take up running as a joint activity. Nothing motivates like preparing for a 10-K running race in the spring. Get the schedule for your local pilates or yoga studio and book some classes together. These options are amazing body sculptors and also great ways to de-stress. And if that sounds like too much, instead of just hanging out on the couch after dinner, go for a nice evening walk. You'll sleep better and you'll both shed some pounds.

Hot Chick Tip:   Don't force your macho weights routine down your bride's throat.   Let your girl do whatever she wants for exercise and she'll be more likely to enjoy it and stick with it.   You're never going to keep a Pilates girl motivated during a triathlon, so don't try.

Cravings

If you find your fiancée is constantly reaching for something to snack on, you can address it directly, but it isn't likely to go over very well.   At best, she'll stop herself from snacking in front of you, then eat more when you're not around, which is bound to create feelings of resentment as she'll feel she has to hide things from you.   Take an active interest in what items make it onto that grocery list.   Popcorn, for instance, is a healthier alternative to many salty snacks.   Popsicles and frozen yogurt can satisfy a sweet tooth while delivering less fat than ice cream.   Oh, and that handful of M&M peanuts in the bowl on her secretary's desk? Tell her all about the wonders of almonds, which aren't quite as yummy, but will keep her satisfied between meals.

Our health is our most important asset. For many people, being overweight is associated with being uncomfortable in their own skin. To assist with weight control, every time the urge to snack is felt, first drink a large glass of clear water. This simple act will help you to eat less. Water will soon become one of your best friends. The major reason so many people in America are overweight is because we eat too much for comfort! It does not hurt to treat ourselves with something special once in a while, what is necessary is that we limit our portions and do not overeat! It is also necessary to keep our body properly hydrated, so drink a full glass of water with each meal or snack. Being overweight ******, but after reading a book, I lost 85 pounds! Words can not express how good I feel! This is a comment which I recently received about the book Lose Weight Using Four Easy Steps

Good thing my fiance is rich because I have not told him yet that I won't get married until I have lipo surgery. This time around I will feel like a princess but a wedding will not happen until I get what I want to look and feel my best. I will add hair extentions and wear my hair down too. I want to look nothing like I did for my first wedding. New husband, new life, new me!
