Your bride changing her name to yours

We’ve caught a fair amount of flak in the comments to our article about the name change. That is, the bride changing her name upon getting married. One of the guys at Groom Groove understands full well the issue - his wife’s pain was not in dropping her name, but having to get a new passport, credit cards, update bank accounts, life insurance policies and, worst of all, a new email address. Does that sound like a new identity or what? Of course, for many women, that may pale in comparison to the emotional aspects of changing ones name. Read our article on the name change.
