… It is getting more and more real as each day passes.
Yesterday I made my last trip to the jewellers before the wedding, and picked up the wedding bands as well as my Fiancés newly “dipped” engagement ring that looks as flashy now as it did the day I gave it to her.
16 days out from our wedding, with the rings in hand it is as real now as it is going to be.
The rings, mine in particular turned out great. I wanted something simple, something timeless and something that wasn’t going to break the bank. It is a white gold ring, simply designed with little to no flash. I wanted something that I wouldn’t be afraid to bash around a bit and also something that could every so often be touched up to look respectable. I think it turned out great.
While the Bride-to-be went with diamonds on her wedding band ,I’ve opted out, the ring still looks flash, but it isn’t a sparkling diamond smacking you in the face. Whether you’re a diamond guy, a plain guy, or a flash guy make sure you get the ring that you will love to wear, because let’s face it, aside from the odd heavy weight session at the gym, or the impromptu boxing match with your buddy, you will be wearing that thing for a long long time. So take your time with the process and have fun with it… if you can.
I’ve got to admit, it was pretty awesome picking up the two rings yesterday… the wedding day we’ve been working on for 9 months now is just upon us.
