I am happy to say that 109 days away from my wedding, I have gained more knowledge on women and am one step closer at an attempt to understand how the mind of a Bridezilla works. The epiphany I had occurred many months ago, but was confirmed just this past weekend, as my lovely bride to be and I ventured out to pick up our wedding bands. Seeing as this site has loyal male followers I figure it is my duty to share with you the secrets I have uncovered through my Saturday afternoon spent at the jewellers. WOMEN LOVE DIAMONDS. I don’t care if she only owns pieces of “jewellery” made of hemp and drift wood, or if all she listens to is Bob Marley, your girl loves diamonds. My epiphany was all confirmed when I saw the wedding band she had selected. There were diamonds all over it, it looked like a paycheck wrapped around her finger. She swore to me when we first started dating that she wasn’t a diamond fan, now I am not calling her a liar, all I am saying is Diamonds are a girls best friend. So be prepared to watch more than half of your wedding band budget go to your fair ladies finger.

please note, I didn't buy this ring.

I have enjoyed all of your blogs so far, but this one in particular has really made me sit back, and laugh, both at what you wrote and then because it made me realize I must be a lot like your future wife. As a single female in my late 20’s I do the usual, check out a good looking guy and then immediately look for a wedding band, I also have noticed that I can’t stop staring at the amazing engagement rings my girlfriends have been recently getting and then I sit back and dream about Mr. Right and the perfect HUGE diamond he will buy for me…..you hit the nail on the head with this one!! Now after reading your blog I know to tell this future guy I don’t care about the size of the diamond, but in the back of my mind have every detail of cut clarity and size picked out and waiting for me to arrive
Very true. And from my experience… believe me… they want platinum.
