It’s great to try for a “green wedding”, but once you settle into your new lives as Mr. and Mrs., it’s time to either do exactly as your parents and the parents before them have done, or do things a little differently. For one thing, the greener the marriage, typically the more green you save wallet-wise as well. Energy saving appliances such as Energystar are a great idea for your gift registry. Other things to consider for a greener marriage are showering together (how steamy the temperature is entirely up to you), and also leaving your home or apartment “hum-free” when you go out, which means that lights and appliances are turned off and even unplugged.
