With “reports” flying in from all directions about George Clooney planning a private wedding with his girlfriend, Sarah Larson, it leaves guys to wonder: is the eternal bachelor finally tying the knot?
Clooney and reps insist he’s no groom, but then again, that’s what we’d expect them to say. For a movie star like Clooney, with essentially the world his oyster and his pick of brides, perhaps the thought of retirement and leaving behind little silver-haired Clooneys is beginning to creep into his conscience.
Here’s how Groom Groove thinks Clooney’s wedding would be different from yours or mine:
- Money won’t be an issue. Wedding transportation: helicopters. Wedding music: The Vienna Orchestra. Wedding eats: A-List nosh. This is one couple who won’t have to cut any corners.
- This wedding will not have a profile on OurWedding.com. All plans will have to be made in secret. We don’t envy them this detail at all!
- An Ocean’s 11, 12, 13 bachelor party? Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle and Casey Affleck might be among the invitees (and maybe even groomsmen) at an all-star bachelor party in Clooney’s honor.
Part of us hopes he joins the ranks of married men again - if nothing more, than to feel some sense of comradery with George - but another part of us salutes the man for living the principal of the swinging bachelor for as long as he has.
