Good things for the groom to avoid

When making a wedding guest list, don’t play off “importance”. What you don’t want is to get into an argument with your bride over which friend, hers or yours, or which cousin, is more important to the other. That’s just a recipe for an ugly little fight. How do you avoid horse trading (for lack of a better word?) The easiest way is simply to stick with a fixed number of guests and hold firm. This becomes a bit more complicated if one of the groom or the brides family is significantly larger than the other’s. Handle it by picking a certain percentage of guests allocated to each person. Tough, we know.
