About 56 seconds ago I dropped well over 50 invitations into the post; therefore it is another stage, another step, another realization that this is REAL. Don’t get me wrong from the engagement ring, engagement party, “save the date” cards, and the many withdrawals from my bank account; this has been real for some time. However; this is different, this is the “invitation stage”, crunch time, who is coming and who is not, that is the question.
Quick words of advice as well gents, these invitations are NOT an easy task. If you’re like me and my lovely bride-to-be you’ve opted to put them all together yourselves, I kid you not, put aside at least half a day for this. From the licking, stuffing, sticking and packing it might sound like a fun night in the bedroom, but trust me this is hours of work, where patience truly is a virtue.
Now we kick back and wait for the reply cards to roll in. Wish me luck.
