The first thought that probably comes to mind when a groom is posed the question “Honey, should we just go ahead and hire a wedding planner?” is “Oh Hell no.” Why? Because wedding planners are expensive, money is tight right now, and you’ve seen the way you mother-in-law settles disagreements; this is just yet another opportunity to spark tension in the wedding planning process. But before you dismiss the idea entirely, consider that hiring a wedding planner can actually save you money by working with a budget and saving you precious time, which is ultimately money. And if you’ve really done your research and found a cool-headed and efficient wedding planner, he/she can actually reduce the burden on you and your bride and serve as moderator in many situations. This could ultimately reduce the overall stress level. Hiring a wedding planner isn’t a sure fit for every marrying couple, but certainly worth looking into.
