why men don't give a damn about wedding flowers [Page 1 of 1]

Grooms! Let GroomGroove.com politely explain to your fiancée why men don't give a damn about wedding flowers. The men at GroomGroove.com make it easy, with a short email that you can send to your fiancée expressing only what we can say aloud.

Now, we know exactly why wedding flowers aren't your thing. There are at least a million other wedding-related tasks that are more interesting - and we're talking about weddings here - not Sunday sports. You could be organizing wedding day transportation or planning the honeymoon. And yet, your fiancée may envelop you with all of her stresses, which are bound to include hydrangeas, daisies and wild roses. Your eyes will glaze over unless you take action, fast. So send an email from you, the groom to your bride to send her this email below, from us:

Re: Why your fiancé doesn't care about wedding flowers, but is still awesome anyway

Dear Bride,

Your totally awesome groom-to-be asked us to write. We're GroomGroove.com, the only wedding and engagement guide for men (aka - your and his savior, alike). Your fiancé asked us to tell you gently that he's not into wedding flowers or flower preparation. Here's why:

Guys don't like things that wilt. And guys especially don't like things that wilt and also cost as much as something practical like...a flat screen television. Now it's your Big Day and you have visions of roses and lilies and gerbera daisies adorning every table, chair and little girl's ear at this function.   You want your fiancé to share in the shriek of joy when you finally spot the perfect combination of plant life to make up your bridal bouquet.

He'll probably look at them and smile like a man who's facing an acquaintance he's told he should remember, but the only green he sees are lots and lots dollar bills, quite possibly on fire.

It's not that he doesn't want you to be happy or that he doesn't care, it's just that he doesn't care...about flowers. And if he took as much of an interest in flowers as you, then we hope for your sake he's a florist. Finally, send the poor guy back to GroomGroove.com. Tell him he's doing a great job by reading up on the things that he can do in preparation for your impending nuptials. That's a real sign of his desire to get involved. Flowers?

Not so much.

Florally yours,

I sent it - she got a good laugh. She's not a totally crazy wedding planner chick, and we're not getting married until May 2008, but this puts htings into perspective.
